Habitats and Culture of Costa Rica is a comprehensive course for students desiring hands-on experience in a variety of life zones in Costa Rica to gain an understanding of Costa Rica’s environment within a cultural context. Several days of residence at the remote Campanario Biological Station on the OsaPeninsula anchor the course. College
level academic credit, both degree applicable credit and professional
development credit, is given through Lewis and Clark College, Oregon,
USA.
Includes:
- All in-country transportation (bus, boat, kayak) - Visits to other life zones in Costa Rica, as per itinerary - Lodging for 13 nights - Three meals daily during the trip (does not include snacks or alcoholic beverages) - Educational program and materials - Access to Campanario facilities including library, orchid garden, research equipment - Hikes through the Campanario Biological Station - Trips to CorcovadoNational Park, to Isla del Caño, and the Sierpe-Terraba mangrove forest - All entrance fees.
